Objective:
To provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify, assess, and respond to medical emergencies, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Course Outline:
- Introduction to first aid and its importance in emergency medical care
- Primary and secondary patient assessment
- Airway and breathing management
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants
- Use of the automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Management of common medical emergencies, such as wounds, burns, fractures, and seizures
- Communication and coordination with other healthcare professionals and emergency services
